The aim of this course is to provide students with an opportunity to carry out technological practice in the area of Digital Technology, Web Design
Content: Digital Media introduces two main areas of study:
Use the Adobe Dreamweaver and Adobe Fireworks software to create and design web pages.
Use XHTML and CSS to create web pages

Software Development and Programming
Description:
The aim of this course is to provide students with an opportunity to create new tools using software development systems.
Content:This course has two main areas of study:
An introduction to Adobe Flash to create 2D animations
Aan introduction to the Gamemaker software and basic programming techniques to create interactive games

Year 12 (level 2) Digital Technology | Business Tech
Description:
The aim of this course is to provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate the application of digital tools for the management and presentation of information.
Content: This course has four main areas of study:
Desktop Publishing, Basic Web Design, Digital Story Telling, and Effective and appropriate use of the internet and web functions such as e:mail.

This course aims to provide students with the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in the following areas:
Software:
- Learn how to use a range of tools and enhancement techniques within the Adobe Fireworks CS4 software
- Learn how to apply CSS, Behaviours, Favourites and templates within the Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 software
- Learn how to use Adobe Flash CS4 and Macromedia Flash MX04 as an interface to create an interactive animation
- Learn how to apply Tweening, Action Scripting, Bone structure and Behaviours to symbols in Adobe Flash
Researching:
Research Interactive Smartboard use and techniques
Research and apply the technology process and the components of practice
Generating and Developing Ideas:
Work closely with a client and stakeholder/s to design and create an interactive animation for educational purposes.
This Level 2 Computer Technology (ICT) course contributes 23 credits toward the Level 2 National Certificate in Educational Achievement (NCEA).
Three (3) of these credits are from NZQA Generic Computing Unit Standards level 2.
Assesments: This course is divided into two major units of work:
Unit One: Digital Technologies - Create a model (skin) for a website for a local business

Unit Two: Digital Technologies - Create an interactive Smartboard Resource or a Moodle Quiz
